Testimonials

"Wanted to say thanks! I had friends from California in town for a wildland fire management meeting and they wanted to kayak real Florida. Our trip on Durbin Creek was perfect! Thanks for making it all happen! ..."

Beach Walks

Eco-Tour Beach Walks at Hanna Park

Lead by Gary “Hawk” Anderson, our eco-tour beach walks at Hanna Park are a unique opportunity to explore a “living beach” that is never the same every day.  Learn about the waves, the wind, the sun, the unique “magic sand”, the animals and plants that live in, on or visit the beach.

Change is constant here, day & night.  So, put on your favorite beach hat, sunscreen, and sunglasses and prepare to discover a world that you may never knew existed.

Gary “Hawk” Anderson is a certified coastal geologist and “soft” rock specialist.  He has designed and managed coastal projects that involved restoring and enhancing the beaches and wetlands in Florida for more than 20 years.  Before coming to Florida, he was the Director for the Virginia Public Beach Commission.  He became resident of Jacksonville after Hurricane Opal hit the Panhandle in 1995.  Hawk was the field foreman and designer for dune restoration, planting over 1 million sea oats plants and restoring and replacing beach walkovers in all the counties in the Panhandle.
