Close to Beaches, Intracoastal, Jacksonville, Fl

Tour the pristine salt marsh ecosystem around the Dutton Island Preserve, located near Atlantic Beach, Fl on the intracoastal waterway. This area is exceptional for wildlife viewing by kayak and by land, as the preserve has 3 miles of hiking trails through pine flatwoods and live oak hammocks.

Plenty of sunshine, a cool seabreeze, picnic tables and hiking trails make this a wonderful destination for a day outdoors with friends and family.

Pack a lunch and enjoy this full day "out-and-back" adventure on land and sea, paddling through the salt marsh and hiking the trails of the Dutton Island Preserve. The tour departs from the boat ramp beneath the Atlantic Blvd bridge over the intracoastal waterway. Followed by a kayak tour of the salt marsh, lunch and hiking around Dutton Island before returning to the launch site.

Not sure if you are ready for a full-day kayak tour, check out our 2-3 hour half-day tours. These shorter tours are perfect for those with time contraints, or if you just want to "test the waters."

Note: This tour is significantly influenced by tides. The tour departure time for the day you choose will be determined by the high tide (depart appx. 2 hours before the high tide).
